Rustic Rooster

When I first saw this stamp set from Stampin Up I just knew I had to have it. I really don't know why though as I'm just not as creative with stamps like this as I am with simpler ones. However, here is my first attempt at making a card with it and without casing. I think I really will need to find some to case as this just doesn't do much for me. But it lends some interest to me, so here it is.

I love your rooster card! I love the way you did the base layer of paper and the ribbon behind the stamped image.

Do you get to hear a rooster crow out there in Aylett? There used to be a small farm across the road (I live off Pouncey Tract) but the burbs took over and I so miss the rooster crowing in the morning. It's one of my favorite sounds!

I'm with you-I like the simpler stamps, too. But this one is very pretty.

You know I've never thought about the rooster living out here, but now that I do, gee it's sad there isn't one. Growing up we had plenty of them. And, lord knows I'm up most every day before they are. Haha! Thanks to two little Mini-Schnauzers.
