Downline Meeting Card Board!

Whenever we have our downline meetings locally it's such a treat because Jean has an incredible Stamp Room and always has cork boards with tons of great cards. Here are a few from one of our meetings. And, she updates it as things change.

An Emmie Fix!

I haven't been too creative lately for trying to come up with SWAP ideas for convention. Plus, I've done a good deal of playing on the weekends as well. But I did want to post a picture of Emily with her beloved dragon float that Auntie Jill gave to her. She just loves that float.

Jumbo scallop flower!

So this card is the first one I made for my friend Tami's birthday. But then opted to make one that coordinated with the Vera Bradley purse I bought her. This one doesn't do all that much for me. Maybe if the colors were different it would. Oh, and I also had put some little leaves around the flower but then took those off. Hmmm....guess I really need to work on this one a bit more hunh?

SWAP Possibility?

Probably not. I just didn't get a good feeling after I made this one as far as using it for convention swap.

Happy Harvest!

Well, convention is really not all that far away when you have to consider I need to make at least 100 swaps and I have no clue what to make. I toyed with using this for a swap, but am not sure. I really don't like the sentiment and would rather have Happy Halloween instead and in that size. I did make another card last night that I may want to use, but it would be a whole card and not just a front due to how it's made. Although, I could potentially alter it so it's just a front.

Wall of Words!

About 2 years ago I painted French Phrases on my bedroom wall. And, I love it. I am about to change the Lavender though and so the words will have to be painted over. But I like them so much I'd venture to say I'll do it again. And, I used a simple alphabet stencil, upper and lower case, and did these. But don't you know SU has released a brief about their new Decor Elements line. So I had to email them to see if they'd be doing them in French as well. Haven't heard from them yet. I sent a picture of my wall as well.

Tami's Birthday Card!

Yesterday was my dearest, dearest friend (since 5th grade) Tami's birthday and this is the card I made for her. It wasn't the first one I made for her though. After I bought her present, a Vera Bradley handbag, I decided her card had to match the colors in the handbag. So that's how I came up with this card. Oh, but I did CASE the layout from the birthday card Ming gave to me this year. Anyway, I hope Tami had a fabulous birthday yesterday. I ran by her house last night and gave her the present and I'd say she looks incredible for our ages! We're the same age but I've got her by not quite 3 months. And, I just know on my next milestone birthday I'll hear about it! :D

Christmas in June!

I've gotten somewhat bored in the category of cards I'd been making lately. Not that I don't enjoy it. I just wanted a definite change, so I made a Christmas Card the other night. I started off with the idea that I'd just do a tag, but it needed something more. So I put it on SU Basic Gray CS, and stamped the stars with Silver ink. Everything is SU. Kind of a weird combination I know, but I think I like it.

10,000 Hits!

I started my blog around the middle of September 2007 and as of yesterday, June 16 I've had 10,000 hits. Pretty cool IMO. Thanks to everyone for being interested in my little life!

Father's Day!

Here is the card I made for Brian for Father's Day. He's Bella and Rikka's human daddy after all. And, he's so incredibly good with them and cherishes them with all his heart. There is a lot to be said for a man who has such love and respect for dogs.

Ping Pong Princess!

Over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend I always have a group of friends over. This year was no exception. Although, this Memorial Holiday I brought the Ping Pong table out for everyone to enjoy. Well, actually Katie owns the table but bought it to go at my house so when she and others visit we'd have something fun to do in addition to playing in the pool. And, don't you know that Miss Emily is now 3 and seems to be most interested in playing, but she can only do so if she's standing on the table. She is definitely the cutest little princess!

Beside myself!

With excitement that is! Tonight I'm holding my 2nd Stamp Class and I've got 17 folks attending. That may not sound like a lot for some of you more seasoned Demonstrators, but for me it's huge! My first class last month I had two to attend. Which was great actually. But to go from 2 to 17; holy cowabunga! I'm a little anxious about having everything right, but I'm more excited about spending time with some great ladies who are interested in something I'm passionate about. I just love to teach and share with others what I find exciting and fun. It's totally not about trying to get orders, I am merely a Hobby Demonstrator after all. I just think the craft is a wonderful way to de-stress and a way to nurture relationships with many different types of personalities. Oh, and if it wasn't for my colleague and new SU Hobby Demonstrator (my downline) Debbie to help me keep it all together I don't know what I'd do. She is a savior for sure. Anyway, wish me luck!

CASE in a Pinch!

I was in such a pinch last night to get a card made for my mother's husband's birthday; which is tomorrow. So, I CASED this one from one I'd found online. I don't know the originator, but I love the layout and the color combination has been a favorite of mine for quite some time.

Perfectly Suited!

I had so much fun making this card. And, talk about fairly easy too. Yet it's so different. I think I found the directions on SplitCoaststampers.com or perhaps one of the other blogs I visit. Anyway, this one I made for Brian to give to his dad for Father's Day. Hope he doesn't see my blog before then.
The shirt was made with a 3x4 piece of SU Hostess Prints pack. I highly recommend any hostess getting this little pack if the opportunity permits.

Green Floral!

Here is the green version of yesterday's posted card. I forgot to mention yesterday that I stamped the image on the card stock then stamped the flower head again on a different piece of CS. Colored it and cut it up in a puzzle sort of way and attached it. Two pieces I attached flat and one piece I attached with a dimensional. I love this green color combination.

Pink Floral on Floral!

This picture does not totally pick up the background stamp I used on the SU Pink CS, but it's their Floral Background Stamp and I have to say it's my all time favorite BGS. Wait until you see the one I did in green. I'll post that one tomorrow.

It's been a very busy and hectic time lately, which is the reason I haven't posted much. And, the reason I've not been able to make much either. My personal banking accounts were fraudulently accessed by an IP address in NY, so my bank immediately froze my online access and had watches posted on my accounts. I had to close all of them and start all over; not fun. And, we've had some major storms come through our areas lately and it seems like there is always recovery and clean up of some sorts afterwards. Plus I'm preparing for my June Stamp Class.

Oh, and I went to see Sex and The City Friday night with two very dear friends. OMG, you have so got to go see that movie if you haven't already. Talk about a roller coaster of a ride with regard to emotions. But all good! Thanks to Brian I own each and every episode of Sex and The City television taping. I never watched it while it was on HBO and therefore got to see all of them within like a 2 month span when he gave them to me. I was hooked big time! I have never gone to opening night of any movie ever, but I would not have missed this for anything. I'd even go see it again, but hopefully it will come out on DVD before too long and I'll buy it then.
