Seasons Greetings!

Tomorrow there is a downline meeting close to where I live, but other obligations will keep me away. At these meetings most times each attendee has to make card fronts to exchange with others. You make as many as are attending. Even though I can't make it, I want card fronts from others as they are usually fabulous and provide much inspiration! My upline has gracously agreed to take mine and bring me back the others. So this week I had to make 20 card fronts using only SU materials and a Holiday Theme. Well, I'm a little deficient in my SU Holiday Materials, but I did the best with what I had and what little time I had as well. Having a bum finger didn't help either. So above are the fronts I made. It's all SU! Card stock, ticket punch, ribbon, stamps and ink. These are not my best that's for sure.

Most likely I won't get a chance to post again until Monday, so everyone have a safe weekend.

Doggie Diva!

I wish I could say I had a NEW card to post, but it's one I did a while ago. Of course, since the blog is new, it's really new to the posting. Haha! Anyway, last night we celebrated Bobbi's birthday at PF Changs and what a great time. Plus I got to meet some of her other friends and loved, loved, loved them. I look forward to catching up again with them sometime soon cause they're cool. Oh, but I did get my middle finger on my right hand smashed in my car door last night after the dinner outing. I have a huge bandage of sorts on it this morning. Did you know that your finger has a heart of it's own? Haha! It sure felt like it did anyway. Thank goodness I'm left handed. And, that I have a great boyfriend who bandaged it up for me so well. :D

Anyway, the card above is Doggie Diva! Don't you just love it? Well, I do and so did Bobbi, so much she had me make 10 of them for her to buy. The stamp is from Rubber Romance. Both of them actually are from there. I masked the Diva and stamped the City Background Stamp separately. The ribbon used is from SU and the flower was from Target. The paper was a miscellaneous purchase from Michael's as were the brads.

Spinner Crazy!!

First let me say that I apologize for the blurriness of my pictures. I'm not sure if it's operator error or I just need a better camera. I'll work on that soon.
Anywho; on the first Friday of each month my Stampin Up (SU) Upline holds a card technique teaching class at her house and the one this month really got me turned on to Spinner Cards; big time. I shared the technique with Ming and I think she's hooked in a big way too. They are so easy and quick to make and really are fun. When you hold the card and move it in a back and forth motion like your hands on the steering wheel at 9 & 3 the bat will spin across the card. The card above, as you can clearly see, is a Halloween Card I made using mostly Stampin Up products. The trees and pumpkins along the bottom are SU as is the Bat. I used the SU Word Window Punch for the area that the bat spins and I borrowed Ming's SU scallop circle punch as well. The cardstock is also from SU. The only things not from SU are the brads, the stamped background bats, and the google eyes on the bat. Oh, and the sentiment stamp I can't recall at the moment where I got that. I need to be better at documenting things like that. It's just that when I got it I had no idea I'd do a blog so soon. Anyway, enjoy. Oh, and a huge shout out to Bobbi as today is her birthday! Love you honey! Mmmwwwuuuaahhhhh!

Tag Birthday Greetings

So I was a little bummed yesterday after my visit to get another mammogram. I was there for over two hours and got out right in rush hour traffic, plus I have to get another biopsy. But that's okay, I'm going to remain positive that it will be nothing alarming. So after all that, I was sitting in traffic debating whether to go straight home or run by the Memories Galore store. Well, that ended up being a no brainer since I didn't have to pay a $30 co-pay at the doctors and I needed cheering up. So I made a bee-line for the store and bought exactly $30 and some change worth of items! I bought the cutest Heidi Grace stamp set, which I used in this card. It has 21 images in the set and this is just two of them. Love it! I have so many birthday's in the month of October and had planned to sit down and make Ming's card. But I liked the way this turned out so much and couldn't wait to get it on the blog; it's just going to have to be someone else's! I used the following items to make it:

SU-Hugs & Wishes, Background Basics (stamp sets) Very Vanilla/Perfect Plum cardstock, Perfect Plum Ribbon, Ink-Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Ticket Punch, Snail Adhesive and Dazzling Diamonds. Other colored paper is from Michael's and the brads are too. I also used my Prisma Color Markers on the flowers.

Well, on Saturday, one of my dearest and best friends (Katie) and I drove to Breezwood, PA to pick up her two Morkie Puppies. And, OMG are they adorable! I took a small video clip and have included it here for your enjoyment. I also took a great picture of Katie and her babies; which turned out fantastic. Her babies are J.J. (darker one) and Kosmo or Cosmo. I didn't ask her how she was going to spell it. At first he was Benji, but she decided he needed a different name that fit better. What precious babies. I can't wait until they meet my two Mini-Schnauzer babies, Rikka and Bella!

Woohoo! I got my Spellbinders-Nestabilities on Wednesday!

What a nice surprise when I got home Wednesday, my Nestabilities had arrived and a day early! According to FedEx they were not due until Thursday. And, they are most definitely way cool! I can tell it's going to take me some time to get the hang of using them in all the ways that they are capable! My first attempt is the birthday card above for my girlfriend Bobbi. I haven't told her about my blog site yet and can't until after next Wednesday, which is her birthday! For the card I used my Fiskars embossing Party template, Stampin Up- Card Stock, Ribbon, Colored Pencils, Blender slit punch and ticket punch. And, I also used my Prismacolor and Copic Markers. The sentiment and image are of course from Stamping Bella; love, love, love those! And, the pink oval under her feet is from A Muse Art Stamps! The brads and flower are from Michael's. And, last but not least, the layered, scalloped rectangles were made using the Nestabilities. I like it well enough, but am not too pleased on how the sentiment turned out. I stamped it on the embossed card stock and probably should have stamped it first and then embossed. But I think she'll still love it!

First Day-where to next? Hmm....

Well, I've been wanting a blog for so long now, I finally bit the bullet and at least started it. The next big task is to get things posted, uploaded and fine tuned. Yeah, when I can steal some more time away from other things I should be doing right now. Soon hopefully! First let me say, that this blog will mostly be geared towards sharing with my peers in the stamping and card making circle! I've got it bad for that craft. And, I've also created a card monster in one of my best girl friends, Ming. Sorry, Ming; but I think you love it! Oh, and as a result of my crazy fetish for the craft, I became a Hobby Demonstrator for Stampin Up in July of this year. So right now she and I think most of what we have created is fairly amateur, but we're progressing all the time! So, I'll post something interesting soon. In the meantime, TTFN!
